Program Overview

Program Description

The Hymns Leader Program is a dynamic and comprehensive two-year, four-semester, program designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to lead basic services throughout the liturgical year within the Coptic Orthodox tradition. This virtual program combines traditional instruction with modern convenience, allowing individuals to immerse themselves in the rich heritage of the church from anywhere in the world.

Under the expert guidance of our experienced faculty, participants will explore essential hymns and chants required for congregational worship, enabling them to confidently lead and enrich services in their communities. With a focus on practical application and hands-on learning, this program empowers participants to become proficient hymn leaders, fostering a deeper connection to the sacred music tradition of the Coptic Orthodox Church.

Please note that the Church Leader is only to learn the hymns and doesn’t guarantee any person having necessarily any type of leadership role.

Program Requirements

• Male or Female, 15 years of age or older
• Recommendation from Father of Confession
• Hymns Recording Submission

• Admissions interview
• Must be able and willing to fly to LA for in person final exams
(NO EXCEPTIONS)

• Must be able to read Coptic

• Final approval from Bishop

Program Cost

• $500 tuition per semester

• $50 technology fee per semester

• $50 application fee
• Flight / hotel costs for exams
